Intro

Welcome to the Cloud Planet blog. My name is Patrick Abotsi and I am starting this blog to share my passion about cloud computing and discuss topics related to the top cloud service providers and platforms.

I have an accounting background (CPA) but have always have had been involved in technologies. I am usually an early adopter of new technologies and was also co-founded a web hosting and IT support company while living in Asia. I moved to Canada in 2017 and have been working in management accounting since.

This blog will be all about the cloud. Topics I will be covering include discussing recent news in the cloud sphere, reviewing cloud-based services and new technologies, or talking about new features from the major cloud computing vendors (AWS, Microsoft, Google, IBM, Alibaba etc.). I am currently preparing to take the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification, so I will also be posting about my preparation for this exam and other cloud related certifications.

I live in Canada but this blog should be useful to any cloud enthusiast regardless of their location. I will be discussing some major cloud related events but those may likely be in North America only.

This is not an academic blog. My goal is to create a medium where I share insights about the cloud that are useful for anyone. I am personally an AWS user, but will try to cover Azure, Google Cloud and other cloud technologies.
